Tour Summary
This 8-day tour takes you to the famous northern circuit parks. You spend 4 days in the Serengeti, the largest and recognized for the annual migration of thousands of wildebeest and zebras. Then, the tour goes to the Ngorongoro Crater, an absolute highlight, with beautiful landscapes and easy game viewing. Finally, the tour goes to Tarangire National Park, smaller than the Serengeti but famous for its large elephant herds. The tour ends with a short hike to the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Safari Itenary
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), a friendly staff member from Serengeti Landmark Tours will be there to welcome you. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Arusha, where you can relax after your journey. In the evening, you will have a safari briefing, where our team will go over your itinerary, answer any questions, and ensure you are well-prepared for your adventure. This briefing will include an introduction to the Northern Serengeti Migration, giving you insights into the wildlife you will witness. We will pick you up from the hotel at 8:00am, introduce you to our guide, and take the 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is known for the abundance of ancient baobab trees and boasts the country's most significant number of elephants! You will encounter these giants up close and observe the interaction between elephant families. While enjoying the game drive, our guide will also explain how the wildlife here connects to the upcoming Northern Serengeti Migration, giving you insights into animal movements and behavior.
We will follow reported animal sightings, spotting plenty of herbivores like giraffes, wildebeest, and zebras. Predators (lions, cheetahs, and leopards) are more difficult to spot, but our team will point out signs of the Northern Serengeti Migration patterns that affect predator-prey interactions. Later, we will go to the river picnic site and enjoy the beautiful river view and animals while having lunch.
Keep an eye out for small monkeys and baboons that will try to scare you and take your lunch they are, however, nothing to worry about. After lunch, we will proceed with the game drive, observing wildlife movements influenced by the Northern Serengeti Migration, before we exit the park around 5:30pm and head to our accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, we will drive to Serengeti for about 6 hours (including all stops), passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We will briefly stop at the gate and view the breathtaking crater for about 20 minutes. There is an optional visit to a Masai Village to learn about the daily life of the Masai people (an additional US$10 to US$20).
Serengeti National Park
Arrive late afternoon and do a game drive in Seronera (center of Serengeti). During the drive, our guide will highlight areas important for the Northern Serengeti Migration, giving you insights into the seasonal wildlife patterns. We will continue game driving into the late evening and experience the sunset in Serengeti while enjoying close views of the wild animals. Today, we explore the broader parts of the Serengeti as we travel northwest, following the wildlife movements. After an early breakfast, we depart on a morning game drive carrying a picnic lunch.
