A Budget Shared Safari is an affordable and adventurous way to explore Tanzania’s national parks. It’s ideal for solo travelers, couples, or small groups who want to experience the wildlife and landscapes without the cost of a private tour. You join other travelers in a group, share a safari vehicle, and sleep in tents at public campsites inside or near the parks.

What time does the day trip start and end?

Most day trips start early in the morning around 5:30–6:00 AM and return by late afternoon or early evening, depending on the distance and location of the park.

What kind of meals are provided?

A private safari chef will prepare fresh, hot meals daily — including breakfast, picnic lunch, and dinner. We cater to all dietary preferences (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free) if requested in advance.

Will we see the Big Five?

Day 01 :

Arusha/Moshi – Tarangire National Park – Arusha/Moshi

Your safari begins early in the morning when your professional safari guide meets you at your hotel in Arusha or Moshi.

After a short briefing, you will depart in a comfortable 4x4 safari vehicle and begin your journey toward Tarangire National Park. The drive from Arusha normally takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions.

Along the way, you can enjoy views of the Tanzanian countryside, local villages, farmland and the beautiful landscapes of northern Tanzania.

Arrival at Tarangire National Park

Upon arrival at the park entrance, your guide will complete the necessary registration procedures before entering the park.

Your game drive begins immediately as you explore one of Tanzania’s most distinctive national parks.

Tarangire is characterized by rolling savannah, acacia woodland, seasonal swamps, giant baobab trees and the winding Tarangire River. The river attracts large numbers of animals, particularly during the dry season.

Morning Game Drive

During the morning game drive, your guide will search for wildlife while explaining the animals, vegetation and ecosystem of the park.

Tarangire is particularly famous for its elephants, and it is common to see large herds walking across the plains, feeding under trees or gathering near water sources.

Afternoon Game Drive

The afternoon game drive gives you another opportunity to explore different areas of Tarangire National Park.

Your guide may follow routes near the Tarangire River, open grasslands, woodland areas and seasonal swamps depending on wildlife movements and current conditions.

One of the park’s most impressive sights is its ancient baobab trees, which create a dramatic landscape and provide excellent photographic opportunities.

Your guide will take time to position the safari vehicle safely at wildlife sightings, allowing you to observe and photograph the animals.

Because your vehicle has a pop-up roof, you can stand comfortably while viewing wildlife and taking photographs.
