Day 01 :

Pick up from the airport

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), a friendly staff member from Serengeti Landmark Tours will be there to welcome you for The Great Migration & Island Vibration experience. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Arusha, where you can relax after your journey and begin preparing for The Great Migration & Island Vibration adventure ahead.

In the evening, you will have a safari briefing for The Great Migration & Island Vibration, where our team will go over your itinerary, answer any questions, and ensure you are well-prepared for your adventure. Day 02 :

Arusha to Tarangire

You will depart from Arusha in the morning and head to Tarangire National Park for The Great Migration & Island Vibration, arriving before midday. Once in the park, you can enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive for The Great Migration & Island Vibration, with a delicious lunch. In the early evening, after your game drive, you will continue experiencing The Great Migration & Island Vibration before exiting the park and making your way to your campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

This first day of The Great Migration & Island Vibration sets the tone for your safari journey, giving you a true taste of Tanzania’s wilderness.

Day 03 :

Endless Plains of Central Serengeti

After a hearty breakfast, you will depart from Karatu town and make your way to the famous Serengeti National Park. En route to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will have a chance to see the Ngorongoro Crater before reaching the Serengeti gate. After lunch, you will head out on an afternoon game drive and return to the camp before sunset. Your dinner will be at the campsite.

- Many predators—leopards, cheetahs, and lions.

Day 04 :

Northen Serengeti National Park

This entire day is set aside for further game drives in the park. The Serengeti is the habitat for abundant wildlife, such as impala, buffalo, crocodile, and hippo, but is more well-known for its great migrating herds of zebra and wildebeest.

The animals’ trek, or migration, is determined by the rainfall and varies yearly. In November and December, the animals move from the northern region, dominated by woodlands and hills, to the grassy plains of the south.

The herds return to the north during the extended rainy season from April to June. Apart from the migrating herds, we may have the chance to spot predators such as leopards, cheetahs, and lions, always lurking close by. With our full day on the plains accomplished, we return to our lodge for a well-deserved rest, encased in our comfortable beds and sleeping bags, dreaming of wild cats!

Day 05 :

Serengeti national park

Today, you will head out early on your morning game drive to witness a magnificent African sunrise in the bush. Head out after a cup of coffee and experience the wilderness and its magnificent creatures as they wake up among the dew-covered grasses. Later, you will head back to camp for breakfast and some relaxation. In the afternoon, you will head out once more for another chance to explore the plains in search of African wildlife as you exit the park.

- Animals are more active than in the afternoon.
- The best chance of experiencing predators on a hunt.
- The best time to capture lovely pictures in beautiful light.

Day 06 :

Ngorongoro crater

Enjoy another game drive in Serengeti National Park before continuing to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which was separated from Serengeti in 1959. The resident Masai in Serengeti National Park was relocated to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where they still live today in harmony with wildlife and nature. Did you know that the Ngorongoro Conservation Area combines a large variety of topographical features and that there are nine different craters within its boundaries? Your guide will happily explain more about this outstanding destination of 8,292 sq kilometers. Proceed to your accommodation on top of the crater rim and enjoy a splendid view of the caldera before the night breaks with a sky full of stars. Or continue driving to your accommodation in Arusha

Day 07 :

Arusha to Zanzibar Island

After breakfast at 8:00am, you will start a city tour exploring Zanzibar. You will visit buildings and local markets in Stone Town and gain an understanding of the area's archipelago.

You will visit the Old Slave Market and the Old Fort. In addition, you will see several famous houses in the area, for example, Freddie Mercury's (the first East African building to have an elevator), the home of the then enslaver Tippu Tip and a famous local inn, the Princess Salme Inn.

We will also introduce you to the fascinating styles of doorways here in Zanzibar (Indian and Arab styles), which were built many years ago and are still visible today.

At 1:00pm, enjoy lunch at a picnic site or local restaurant. From here, the tour continues toward Prison Island. The island is a tranquil place to visit, and many giant tortoises (some as old as 100 years) walk around. Next, you will hear about colonial history and how prisons were ruined. Finally, your guide will lead you back to your accommodation.

Zanzibar Stone Town Tour
