Soul of the Safari Experience

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), a friendly staff member from Serengeti Landmark Tours will be there to welcome you. This marks the beginning of your Soul of the Safari Experience. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Arusha, where you can relax after your journey. In the evening, you will have a safari briefing, where our team will go over your itinerary, answer any questions, and ensure you are well-prepared for your Soul of the Safari Experience adventure. Get a good night’s rest—your unforgettable safari begins tomorrow as your Soul of the Safari Experience truly comes to life.

We will pick you up from your hotel at 7:30am, and after being introduced to your guide and chef, your Soul of the Safari Experience begins as we drive to Tarangire National Park (about 2 hours). This park is famous for its diverse landscapes, especially the iconic Ancient Baobab trees and the largest concentration of elephants in Tanzania, offering a true highlight of your Soul of the Safari Experience.

The park provides unique opportunities to observe elephant family interactions, along with a rich variety of wildlife. During the game drive, depending on reported sightings, you may spot predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards, which are more difficult to see, while herbivores like giraffes, wildebeest, and zebras are commonly found throughout this Soul of the Safari Experience journey.

Later, we will stop at the Tarangire River picnic site to enjoy lunch with a beautiful view of the river and wildlife. Small monkeys and baboons may try to approach your food, but there is nothing to worry about. After lunch, we continue with an afternoon game drive before heading to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay, completing another memorable day of your Soul of the Safari Experience.

After breakfast, you will begin an early game drive in Tarangire as part of your Soul of the Safari Experience, before exiting the park and proceeding to Serengeti National Park. The drive takes approximately 6 hours, including all stops, as it passes through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, making this journey a key highlight of your Soul of the Safari Experience.

You will make a brief stop at the gate and viewpoint to enjoy the breathtaking view of the Ngorongoro Crater for a maximum of 20 minutes. You also have the option to visit a Maasai village, which takes about 20–45 minutes. Entrance is 10 USD, and this is an optional activity not included in the package of your Soul of the Safari Experience.

Serengeti National Park

You will arrive in the late afternoon and continue your Soul of the Safari Experience with a game drive in Seronera (the heart of Serengeti) until sunset. This is one of the most magical moments of the Soul of the Safari Experience, where you may witness predators hunting or feeding if you are lucky. As the sun sets over the endless plains, you will head to Seronera campsite for dinner and an overnight stay, completing another unforgettable day of your Soul of the Safari Experience.

Start your day with an early morning game drive in the Serengeti, taking advantage of the cooler hours when wildlife is most active. As the sun rises over the endless plains, you’ll have a chance to witness predators on the hunt, herds grazing peacefully, and a variety of birdlife welcoming the new day. After a rewarding morning of exploration, you’ll begin your journey toward Ngorongoro, enjoying a scenic drive through the southern Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

In the afternoon, arrive at Hhando Coffe Lodge, located on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. Here, you'll settle in for the night with panoramic views and a refreshing highland breeze. The campsite offers basic but authentic accommodations, allowing you to fall asleep under the stars surrounded by nature, ready for an early descent into the crater the next day.

Start the day with an early breakfast before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most spectacular wildlife areas.
