Day 01 :

Pick up from the airport

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), a friendly staff member from Serengeti Landmark Tours will be there to welcome you for your Echoes of the Savannah safari. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Arusha, where you can relax after your journey and prepare for your Echoes of the Savannah experience.

In the evening, you will have a safari briefing, where our team will go over your itinerary, answer any questions, and ensure you are fully prepared for your Echoes of the Savannah adventure. Get a good night’s rest—your unforgettable safari begins tomorrow.

Day 02 :

Arusha to Tarangire

We will pick you up from your hotel at 7:30am for your Echoes of the Savannah safari, and after meeting your guide and chef, we will drive to Tarangire National Park (approximately 2-hour drive), one of the highlights of the Echoes of the Savannah journey. The park is famous for its diverse landscapes, ancient baobab trees, and the largest concentration of elephants in Tanzania.

Tarangire offers unique opportunities during your Echoes of the Savannah experience to observe elephant families interacting in their natural habitat. We will enjoy a game drive through the park based on reported wildlife sightings. Predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards are more elusive, while herbivores like giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests are commonly seen throughout your Echoes of the Savannah safari.

Later, we will stop at the Tarangire River picnic site to enjoy lunch with beautiful views of the river and surrounding wildlife. Small monkeys and baboons may approach, but there is no need to worry as you enjoy this part of your Echoes of the Savannah adventure.

After lunch, we will continue with an afternoon game drive before heading to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay, completing a memorable day of your Echoes of the Savannah safari.

Day 03 :

Tarangire to Serengeti

After breakfast, you will continue your Echoes of the Savannah journey with a scenic drive to Serengeti National Park, which takes approximately 6 hours (including all stops) as it passes through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along this route of the Echoes of the Savannah, you will enjoy beautiful landscapes and wildlife sightings along the way.

You will briefly stop at the gate and viewpoint to admire the breathtaking view of the Ngorongoro Crater for up to 20 minutes, one of the highlights of your Echoes of the Savannah safari. You will also have the optional opportunity to visit a Maasai village during your Echoes of the Savannah experience. This cultural visit takes 20–45 minutes and costs 10 USD (not included in the package).

Serengeti National Park

In the late afternoon, your Echoes of the Savannah adventure continues as you arrive in Serengeti National Park and begin a game drive in Seronera (central Serengeti). You will explore the plains until late evening, enjoying the magical Serengeti sunset and observing wildlife up close. If lucky, you may witness predators hunting or making a kill—one of the most thrilling moments of your Echoes of the Savannah safari.

After the game drive, you will proceed to Seronera campsite for dinner and overnight stay, ending an unforgettable day of your Echoes of the Savannah journey.

Serengeti national park (Following the migration)

Serengeti game drive to Ngorongoro

Start your day with an early morning game drive in the Serengeti, taking advantage of the cooler hours when wildlife is most active. As the sun rises over the endless plains, you’ll have a chance to witness predators on the hunt, herds grazing peacefully, and a variety of birdlife welcoming the new day. After a rewarding morning of exploration, you’ll begin your journey toward Ngorongoro, enjoying a scenic drive through the southern Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

In the afternoon, arrive at Simba Campsite, located on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. Here, you'll settle in for the night with panoramic views and a refreshing highland breeze. The campsite offers basic but authentic accommodations, allowing you to fall asleep under the stars surrounded by nature, ready for an early descent into the crater the next day.
