Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), a friendly staff member from The Call of the Wild Experience by Serengeti Landmark Tours will be there to welcome you. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Arusha, where you can relax after your journey.

In the evening, you will have a safari briefing for The Call of the Wild Experience, where our team will go over your itinerary, answer any questions, and ensure you are well-prepared for your adventure. Tarangire is a hidden gem of Tanzania — known for its vast elephant herds, dramatic baobab trees, and rich biodiversity. During The Call of the Wild Experience, your game drive will take you across scenic savannah and riverine woodlands in search of wildlife like lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and over 500 bird species.

The Tarangire River, which runs through the park, attracts animals year-round, especially in the dry season (June to October), making this one of the best spots in East Africa to observe wildlife up close. Night Game Drive

For a completely different perspective during The Call of the Wild Experience, join an optional night game drive in a private concession near Tarangire. As the sun sets, the bush transforms — and so do the animals. With a spotlight and expert guide, you'll search for elusive nocturnal wildlife such as porcupines, genets, civets, bush babies, aardvarks, and maybe even lions or leopards on the move.

After an early breakfast, you will begin a sunrise game drive in Tarangire National Park as part of The Call of the Wild Experience, enjoying the park in the peaceful morning hours when it is less crowded and wildlife activity is at its peak.

Later in the late morning, you will exit the park and head to Mto wa Mbu for lunch, relaxation, and a cultural experience within The Call of the Wild Experience journey. After breakfast, you will depart Mto wa Mbu and drive towards Serengeti National Park, a journey of approximately 6 hours (including all stops) as you pass through the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area during The Call of the Wild Experience.

You will enjoy a short scenic stop at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint, taking in one of Africa’s most iconic landscapes during The Call of the Wild Experience.

You will also have an optional (extra cost, not included) visit to a Maasai village, where you can explore the rich culture of the Maasai tribe. They are known for their deep traditions, including historical warrior practices and cattle-based lifestyle. While some traditions have changed over time, the cultural experience remains fascinating for many travelers. Many clients choose to skip this activity.

Serengeti National Park

You will arrive in Serengeti in the late afternoon and begin an exciting game drive in the Seronera area (central Serengeti) as part of The Call of the Wild Experience. This is one of the best wildlife regions in Africa, where you may witness predators, grazing herds, and dramatic wildlife interactions.

Enjoy a magical Serengeti sunset while observing wildlife up close — and if you're lucky, you may spot a predator hunting or making a kill. Later in the evening, you will proceed to Seronera Campsite for dinner and overnight stay, continuing your unforgettable journey through The Call of the Wild Experience.

On this day of The Call of the Wild Experience, you will explore the wider regions of Serengeti National Park—south, east, or west—depending on seasonal wildlife movements and migration patterns.

After an early breakfast, you will head out for a morning game drive, maximizing your chances of spotting predators and large herds during their most active hours. The experience continues deeper into The Call of the Wild Experience, offering a full immersion into the Serengeti wilderness.

Later, you will stop for lunch in the bush before continuing with an afternoon game drive until evening, tracking wildlife across different habitats and open plains.

As the sun sets, you will return to the campsite for dinner and overnight stay, continuing your adventure with The Call of the Wild Experience under the African night sky.

Note: Animals are often spotted around campsites, so you should remain alert as wildlife may pass nearby during the night.

After an early breakfast, you will go on an early game drive seeing a lot of animals till the afternoon when you will head to the camp for lunch and packing. Have a game drive while we exit the Serengeti heading to Simba Campsite (2 hours drive) near the rim of Ngorongoro Crater. Note: Animals can be spotted on campsites.

After an early breakfast, you will descend the crater at 6:15 am, on a journey to find the black rhino. Rhinos are the hardest to spot in the beautiful crater as most animals will be easier to spot from this park due to it being a floor crater. After lunch, have a game drive and ascend the crater to the camp and pack for the trip back to Arusha.
